Molly A. Bowdring, PhD

MOLLY A. BOWDRING, PhD, is an Instructor of Medicine funded by a K99 from NIAAA. Her research seeks to: (a) identify factors that influence substance use, (b) evaluate novel approaches for reducing risky use, and (c) advance understanding of basic psychosocial process via examination of substance use. Her current work aims to clarify the relation between non-alcoholic beverage use (e.g., non-alcoholic beers/wines/liquor) and alcohol use. In addition to her research within the SPRC, Dr. Bowdring practices as a licensed clinical psychologist in Stanford Medicine's Addiction Medicine Dual Diagnosis Clinic.
